Responding to the recommendations of businesses about the lack of human resources, especially skilled human resources, Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang stated that Hai Phong is not a locality with the advantage of labor resources. However, the city will invest in infrastructure and improve people’s lives to attract workers to live and work here.

The Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority will build a job exchange to assist businesses in finding human resources; This will be one of the basic solutions, but not the key.

Employees choose and stick with the enterprise based on many factors such as salary, allowance, regime, working conditions and culture of the enterprise. Therefore, businesses must have calculations to have more radical and sustainable solutions.

Regarding the highly skilled labor force, Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang suggested that, in addition to the city’s efforts in finding solutions to develop skilled human resources, businesses need to closely cooperate with each other. supporting the city such as coordinating training, building a test operation area for machines so that when the project officially comes into operation, workers can use these equipment proficiently.

Also at the meeting of the Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee with a number of businesses implementing projects in Dinh Vu Industrial Park, business leaders also proposed a number of contents related to removing difficulties and obstacles. In the implementation of housing construction for workers, ensuring traffic safety at some roads, the existence of Trang Cat landfill affects the environment and the general urban landscape.

According to Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People’s Committee Le Anh Quan, in the coming time, the city will have solutions to limit the collection and treatment of waste at Trang Cat landfill.

To ensure sustainability in waste treatment, Hai Phong city is building a project to produce electricity from scrap. This project will contribute to providing electricity for businesses in this area, and at the same time solve urgent environmental problems caused by Trang Cat landfill.

Currently, Hai Phong has more than 400 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects located in industrial parks in the city.

In 2021, Hai Phong is the leading locality in the country in terms of attracting foreign direct investment capital with a total investment capital of 5.2 billion USD. This is also the working area of ​​nearly 180,000 domestic and foreign workers.

In 2022, Hai Phong strives to attract FDI from 2.5-3 billion USD./.
